We are continuing in the vein of You Are Here. Churches world wide are celebrating Pentecost Sunday and we are joining the fray. God has been revolutionizing us with prayer and worship. I believe that God will continue the process of transforming us to what he wants us to be. Come expecting and believing to receive something great from God!

Memorial Day Picnic is going to be AWESOME!!!! Going to throw the football around and play bocce ball!!! Food is going to be great and grilled! Lots of Fun! Plan to come hang and have some fun!

NoVa Church: Get Ready For Lots of Fun!!!

Hope you are having a great week! Very excited about all of the great things happening and the next few weeks are going to be lots of fun.

First of all this Sunday is going to be awesome. We are continuing in the vein of You Are Here and going to talk about some life changing principles. God has been revolutionizing us with prayer and worship. Prayer isn’t a life line, Prayer is THE life line. We must continue to pray and seek God. I encourage you get a prayer journal and start using it every day.

After Sunday, we have our first NoVa Leadership Class. So excited about this. Please RSVP if you havent already. We wont be able to make last minute additions. I believe this is going to help you in every aspect of life.

Next week is Pentecost Sunday and our Memorial Day Picnic following. Bring a Friend and we are going to eat, have fun, play games and bocce ball!!! See you There!!!

NoVa Church: Prayer Journals Are Prayer Guides

I am so excited about the momentum that we have at NoVa! I said Sunday and I believe it firmly with every ounce of my being, that there is a shift taking place in our church.

A church that Prays and a Church that Worships is a Church that impacts the Globe. For the last month we have focused on the power of prayer. We know that Prayer Changes Things. You can Pray things into existence. Prayer defies Reasonable Thinking.

I taught three weeks ago to do three things:  get a prayer journal, pray big prayers, pray specific prayers. Continue tracking these.

NoVa Church: It is Good Friday!!!

It is Good Friday! We are so excited about everything that is happening here at NoVa. We are just thrilled at the momentum that we have going into this weekend. Last week’s experience of Communion was amazing and powerful. It was one of the most powerful Communion services I have ever experienced and many of you expressed similar sentiments.

Today we challenge you to spend some time in honoring the Lord. Read Luke 23 & 24.

Let me point this verse that I read this morning: Luke 23: 33 – “And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him…”

The four words, there they crucified him, does not even begin to do justice to articulate the experience. This Year we are saying. Make Easter Personal.

NoVa Church: Easter is an Event but The Cross is a Lifestyle ~ @NovaChurch

We are really excited about Easter this Sunday!

We are expecting a record breaking crowd for our new church but one thing that has occurred to me today is that we celebrate and make all of these preparations for a single day. An “event.” Yes, Easter happened over a specific couple of days but we should be celebrating this year round. The cross is not an event but the cross is a lifestyle. Jesus said it like this, “Follow me, deny yourself and take up your cross…”

It is because of what of what happened then, that allows us to be free and to know him now.

What A Great Video Group Last Night on Dave Ramsey Pt. 2!

Financial Peace isn’t a far fetched goal. It isn’t a wild concept. It’s crazy to think that we have a huge amount of people that are stressed due to self inflicted measures. We have a culture of navigating through a field of financial landmines that we have set ourselves. This group has been amazing so far. If you would like financial peace and to get out of debt, make next Tuesday Night a priority. Here are three things I have gotten out of the first two weeks:

1. If You Live Like No One Else, You Will Live Like No One Else!

2. Start Now!

3. Your Cash Flow Represents Your Value System!

I feel that those are mostly self explanatory. The real key isn’t in the knowledge but in the application. Executing the plan is the beginning of real change. See ya next Tuesday!

Let’s Dance! Today Starts the Madness – My Guess

Today is one of my favorite days of the year. There is absolutely nothing like the first two days of the college basketball tournament. I love to root for the most random team and bust everyone’s bracket. Looking forward to watching how long mine will last.

A few years ago I made it out of the first weekend and got everything right but 2 games. This year I have picked the most random and unorthodox teams to make a splash.

Tomorrow at 7PM Starts our Financial Peace Group with Dave Ramsey!!! It is going to be so awesome! Tomorrow is the first and a preview one. Which means, you can bring your friends and they can experience this!

It’s really going to be enlightening and impacting as we learn this proven system. Emergency Funds, Getting Out of Debt and Learning to Live to Give. I think you’ll really enjoy this!
